Strong Academics | Engaged Parents | Better Outcomes

 Academics

Why I am running

I am Rachel Librach, a graduate of El Dorado County schools, a local small-business owner, and your Area 1 Trustee on the El Dorado County Board of Education. I am committed to transparency, parents’ rights, core academics, and educational opportunities that meet students’ needs.

During my term, I moved to renew Rite of Passage Charter High School, preserving an alternative pathway for students facing significant challenges. I also visited Mountainside Middle College High School to learn directly about the students and programs EDCOE serves and volunteered to represent EDCOE through the Association of California County Boards of Education.

The County Board does not govern local districts or select their curricula. Its responsibilities include reviewing EDCOE’s budget and accountability plans, considering charter petitions, hearing student appeals, and overseeing EDCOE programs.

Although many schools have made progress since the pandemic, academic recovery remains uneven. I will continue advocating for clear public information, responsible stewardship, meaningful parent engagement, careful review of educational outcomes, and strong support for reading, mathematics, and student readiness.

I respectfully ask for your vote so I may continue serving Area 1 with integrity and keeping students at the center of every decision.

On November 3rd, RE-ELECT Rachel Librach for El Dorado County Office of Education Area 1.

On November 3, 2026, vote for Rachel Librach for EDCOE Trustee 1
